NovaNox® silicone hoses are versatile due to their special properties and are particularly suitable for use as charge air hoses , pressure hoses , or turbo hoses. These hoses are used in turbocharged engines and connect the turbocharger to the combustion chamber. A charge air hose allows the compressed air from the compressor or turbocharger to flow directly into the combustion chamber, resulting in better and more efficient combustion. This process increases engine power and significantly reduces fuel consumption. Thanks to their special properties, NovaNox® charge air hoses easily withstand high temperatures, vibrations, and increased pressures of up to 10 bar.
NovaNox® charge air hoses are particularly distinguished by their efficient resistance to temperatures from -50°C to +180°C and can even withstand a peak temperature of +220°C for short periods.
NovaNox® charge air hoses are resistant to oil splashes and small amounts of oil due to their material composition. These oils are naturally found in the hose as a result of the function of a turbocharger, since excess oil is returned to the charge air hose.
The charge air hose is attached using hose clamps or swivel bolt clamps. To secure the clamp, it is pulled onto the pipes or the drain fitting. The charge air hose is then tightened to prevent it from slipping. In addition to silicone hoses and elbows, we offer suitable hose clamps and swivel bolt clamps for your silicone hoses.
NovaNox® charge air hoses are available in lengths of 10cm, 25cm, 50cm and 1m and in different diameters depending on the product:
- 0.1m: Ø 11-114mm
- 0.25m: Ø 13-114mm
- 0.5m: Ø 10-90mm
- 1m: Ø 6-102mm
